FEMININE ENERGY | THE MAXI DRESS

The Greek islands had always been a dream. Whitewashed buildings, brilliant blue water and those long summer evenings that seemed to stretch on forever. And now, finally, she was here.

She had spent the afternoon swimming in the crystal-clear waters, soaking up the sunshine and doing absolutely nothing in particular. It was everything she had imagined.

As the sun began to set, she slipped into her favourite maxi dress. The beautiful colour seemed even more vibrant against the white buildings, while the delicate straps rested against her golden skin, lightly tanned from days spent by the sea.

Her sandals made a sweet little tapping sound against the old stone pavers as she wandered through the narrow streets towards the village panigiri, a traditional Greek celebration filled with music, food and dancing.

Overhead, strings of warm lights hung between the buildings. The sound of Greek music drifted through the evening air, growing louder with every step. Laughter spilled from little restaurants, and the delicious smell of freshly cooked food filled the streets.

Her dress floated around her legs in the balmy breeze as she approached the village square.

And what a sight!

Beautiful women in pretty dresses, handsome men with sun-kissed smiles, families gathering around tables and musicians preparing for a night of celebration.

Someone caught her eye and smiled. A rather handsome someone, actually.

She smiled back.

The sky was turning the most beautiful shades of pink and gold, the music was lifting, and somewhere nearby, glasses clinked in celebration.

She had no plans, nowhere else to be and absolutely no intention of leaving early.

Tonight was going to be filled with laughter, dancing, perhaps a little romance and memories she would carry home long after her tan had faded.

And as she stepped into the square, her beautiful dress swaying around her, she couldn't help thinking...

This. This was exactly what dream holidays were made of.
