The Collared Shirt
She stood in front of her wardrobe, one hand lightly running across the hangers as she searched for something that felt right.
Not too much.
Not too little.
Just right.
Her eyes landed on the shirt.
The soft fabric. The tiny dots scattered across it. The crisp collar that somehow managed to feel both polished and relaxed at the same time.
Her eyebrows raised in certainty.
There it was.
Pulling it from the hanger, she slipped it on and began fastening the buttons one by one. There was something satisfying about it. The ritual of getting dressed. The small details that transformed a simple shirt into something more.
She folded the collar neatly into place and looked in the mirror.
Instantly, everything felt pulled together.
The shirt wasn't loud.
It didn't demand attention.
It simply brought a sense of order to the outfit.
The balance felt effortless.
She rolled the sleeves just enough to make it feel like her and tucked the front lightly into her jeans.
Not perfect.
Not overly styled.
Just enough.
Standing back, she caught her reflection once more.
The shirt skimmed her curves in all the right ways. Fitted but flattering. Elevated but not over the top.
Comfortable.
Capable.
Like she could walk into whatever the day had planned and handle it beautifully.
She grabbed her knit jumper from the chair nearby, she knew this would work with her look, and headed for the door.
And somehow, the whole day already felt a little more put together.
